The Spark

As a math major, I lost the creativity I so enjoyed as a kid. I loved to paint, to draw, to dress up and be this fantastical character. My life began to revolve around numbers and analytics, and while I chose that for myself, I could also choose a balance. I began writing as a way to reignite my creative spark. Fueled by a lifelong love for reading, I embarked on the wild, and slightly insane, journey of crafting the very kind of book I yearned to read. One that blended each of my favorite tropes into a world where escape was possible. The Silver Flame became my way of proving that I was capable of anything I set my mind to. And as I watch my dreams come alive before my eyes, I am able to look back and know of the work that brought me into this position. Of the drive, and the long nights, and the endless research. Of the blood (yes, real blood), sweat, and tears that came with this process. Praise Jesus for His strength and His continuous blessings.

Fun Facts About Paige

How could you possibly get to know me without some outrageous fun facts!

I know fifty digits of pi, and don’t even try to question me. You will just be forced to sit and listen to all fifty.
I am colorblind, but yes, I can see my own covers. From 1 to 10, I am a 3 on the colorblind scale.
I do my own nails, and you will never see me without a set. While in a dress, or down in the mud, my nails will be painted. (Most likely in pink)
I am 5'10. This is no exaggeration, and is even slightly less than my technical height. I am 5’10.25 if you want to be exact. (Hence why my female main character is 5'9)
I have twelve earrings, eight of which I did myself. Do not recommend.
I can bench press my own body weight, or at least I could at some point. Should probably hit the gym…

Self-Publishing Journey

Paige founded her own press house, Olive & Ark Press, to self-publish her own novels.

“While exploring my options for publishing, I noticed that a majority of the publishing industry was overwhelmed with topics that broke my morals. Smut has seemed to take over the romance book world, and while I do truly believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I also believe that I am entitled to mine. I wanted to stay firm in my decision to write clean, yet human, fantasy, and that meant breaking the mold. I decided against querying and traditional publishing in order to uphold my own personal beliefs as a Christian. I refused to be anything other than myself. I opened my own LLC and have not looked back since. The Lord shall provide, and I trust that He will.”
